I had a simple idea of what I would do, but as I researched and found out more about the history of San Diego the changes started to come – starting with incorporation as a city in California to the state taking over a bankrupt city only two years later and shortly thereafter, relocating the city from the San Diego river (old town) to the harbor. (where ships would arrive.)
Developing a 1400 acre park ‘City Park’ (Balboa Park today) and putting on an ‘exposition’ (Pan-American expo ), celebrating the opening of the Panama Canal (of which San Diego would be the first available port in the United States.).
